Community Development Programs

Cultura’s community development initiatives are designed to meet the needs of people from migrant, refugee and asylum-seeker backgrounds. Utilising a strengths-based approach and co-designing programs with communities, we provide services that nurture both individual and collective well-being while fostering a sense of belonging.

The Pulse

94.7 The Pulse is Geelong’s favourite community radio station, providing a voice to the people through a diverse range of programming from multicultural shows and current affairs to special interest programs and local events coverage.

Youth Services

Current Programs & Activities Netball Club – Monday Evenings Empowering young women through sport, Cultura Netball Club and is for girls between 14-18 years old from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Legal Assistance Program

Cultura has partnered with Barwon Community Legal Service (BCLS) to provide free legal help to Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Communities.

Employment Programs

Cultura offers a range of programs and services for multicultural migrant job seekers, and for employers that are seeking a culturally diverse workforce.

Financial Counselling

Cultura’s Financial Counselling is a free and confidential service that provides information and support to people experiencing financial difficulties.

Support and Social Programs

Cultura offers a range of social programs to support older people to make social connections, try new activities, be active and maintain their independence.
Our Access and Support service can assist over and under 65 members of our community to access services to stay living at home and connected with their community.

Independent Living Units

Located in the heart of our North Geelong precinct, residents of our Independent Living Units can immerse themselves in the Cultura community, make new friends, participate in the exciting social and wellbeing programs, and enjoy the onsite facilities.
