Volleyball Club – Monday Evenings
Empowering young women through sport, Cultura Netball Club and is for girls between 14-25 years old from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Participants develop their sporting skills in workshops with Netball Victoria, play in teams and compete in local competitions. The workshops feature guest speakers, including professional athletes and cover important topics such as; building self-worth, healthy relationships, responding to racism and improving mental health.
Futsal Academy – Wednesday Evenings
Cultura Futsal Academy empowers young men through sport and is for boys aged between 14-25 years old from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Participants develop sporting skills in workshops with Mentors, play in teams and compete in local competitions. The workshops feature guest speakers, including professional athletes and cover important topics such as; building self-worth, healthy relationships, responding to racism and improving mental health.
WRAP Mentorship – Intensive Youth Support Service
A youth and family led service that provides support and case management to young people from multicultural communities who are either on youth justice orders or are at risk of entering the Youth Justice system. The program supports youth to access services including employment, education, training, mental health services, drug and alcohol support and accommodation.
The WRAP program encourages young people to fully participate in decision making and provides a framework to increase their confidence, advocacy ability and help them realise their potential.
‘The Root’ – Arts Music Leadership Program
A creative studio program for young people that provides space and time for artistic development inside a youth leadership framework. The Root project is designed for young people from diverse cultural communities around Geelong from 14 – 25 years old. Led by professional artist mentors, the program provides creative development opportunities in 4 key areas; Singing/Song-writing, Music Production, Visual Arts and Dance.
