MACS and Diversitat have been serving the Geelong community for more than 40 years with a focus on our multicultural communities. As the new entity, Cultura operates across various sites delivering a range of services including residential aged care, home care and aged support services, settlement, training and education, financial counselling and disability support. We also operate a range of social enterprises including The Pulse community radio and various community events including the popular Pako Festa.

Cultura offers an extremely generous salary packaging benefit, giving staff the opportunity to salary package up to $18,550 per annum of their pre-tax yearly income.

The Role:

The Wellbeing Worker provides help, support and care to clients who live within their own home. The aim is to improve the quality of the client’s life and support their well-being, lifestyle and independence.

The Wellbeing Worker is responsible for reporting directly to the Manager, Homer Services, and will be required to work across the Geelong region.

About You:

  • Have experience working with individuals within a community aged care service;
  • Demonstrate a friendly manner and clear verbal communication skills;
  • Be willing to contribute as member of Cultura’s team;
  • Hold a current first aid certificate;
  • Hold a current Victorian Driver’s license;
  • Hold current comprehensive car insurance for the private vehicle used to transport clients;
  • Hold a Certificate III in Aged Care, or equivalent (required if you are providing personal care and medication prompting administration);
  • Have experience working with elderly individuals (desirable);
  • Have an understanding of the migrant experience, with empathy and sensitivity to the needs of the elderly from different cultural backgrounds (desirable);
  • Languages other than English will be highly regarded.

Morning availability is required and part time and casual employment is available to be offered.
