Health Service Navigator – Multicultural Access Program (Dari and Farsi Speaking)

Based within Cultura’s Settlement Services, the Health Services Navigator will support community members to navigate the primary health care system by building knowledge in human rights, available services, access and priority health topics. Culturally responsive and in language support will be given to assist individuals to attend appointments and manage interactions with service providers effectively.

This position will be based in Geelong and is contracted on a maximum-term part time basis until 30 September 2025, working 15 hours per week.

This position is classified as per Level 3 of the SCHCADS Award, with a starting rate of $37.35 per hour.

 

About You:

  • Capacity building in the areas of Human rights (the right to interpreters and the right to equitable health care) for Karen, Karenni, Dari or Farsi communities.
  • Provide information about available allied health services and what these services can provide and how to access.
  • Assist individuals being supported by the program to access health services.
  • Work with Program coordinator and health experts to organize information sessions on priority health topics, as expressed by communities.
  • Work collaboratively with program coordinator and Service Navigators to achieve program objectives.
  • Undertake project monitoring and evaluation.
  • Ensure required data is entered in a timely and accurate manner.

Ability to speak Karen, Karenni, Dari or Farsi languages.
